Experienced In Home Care for Heart Attack Survivors
There are about 5 types of heart attack, also known as Myocardinal Infarction, but the most common occurs when there is a reduction of blood supply to a part of the heart muscle because the buildup of plaque on the wall of a coronary artery breaks and leads to blood clotting of the artery.
The
long term complications of a heart attack are oftentimes greater and more worrisome than the initial heart attack. Heart attack survivors must redefine their lifestyle and take better care of themselves - whether that means being in more control of their blood pressure, quitting smoking, or getting more daily exercise. After a heart attack, the heart becomes weaker because the affected heart tissue is permanently damaged and conducts electrical signals slower than healthy heart tissue. Heart attack survivors may need to take measures to prevent further blood clotting, ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, aneurysm or rupture of the myocardium, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, or a second heart attack.
If your
Elderly or
Senior loved one has recently had a heart attack, they could benefit from an
in-home caregiver who can help with activities of daily living and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
